Hi, I’m Sandi Mulconry founder and principal of Group M Communications, a public relations consultancy in Skaneateles, N.Y., serving institutions of higher education, travel and tourism, and small business.

For 26 years, I held a variety of communications posts at Syracuse University; most recently, I was associate vice president for Strategic Planning. From 1998 to 2005 I was associate vice president for University Communications, overseeing the Departments of News Services, Electronic Media Communications and Publications.

Under my direction, Syracuse University’s communications program won more than 100 awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the Syracuse Press Club, the Central New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the University and College Designers Association (UCDA), along with numerous Telly Awards, Communicator Awards, Axiem Awards and a regional Addy.
